Here is a working Asus socket 1366 ATX motherboard: the original P6T. This was Asus' high end motherboard introducing new technologies (DDR3, SATA II, triple bank RAM) back in early 2009. Although the Intel x58 chipset and the included Core i7 920 CPU were designed for slow DDR3 memory (PC3-8500 or DDR3 1066), Asus allows one to run RAM at much faster speeds. This motherboard/CPU/RAM combo works well at PC3-12800 or DDR3 1600I include six identical OCZ Reaper 2GB PC3-12800U DIMMs for 12GB total in a triple-bank configuration that is unique to the Intel X58 chipset used by this motherboard. These DIMMs have heavy black metal heatspreaders over the chips, heatipipes, and even heatspreaders at the top of the pipes. I believe they are the tallest DIMMs ever made. I also include a 2.67 GHz Core i7 920 CPU and a large Zalman copper CPU cooler. The I/O shield is also included, but I do NOT include any cables, manual or software.
I have tested this motherboard successfully. It boots from a USB flash drive. It boots, loads WIndows 10 and WIndows 7 from my SATA SSDs and downloads updates through the gigabit ethernet port.
