I just finished the restoration on this grand old 1939 Zenith table top tube radio model 5S319. The cabinet is very solid and the finish is excellent. There are a few marks here and there that I intentionally leave just to remind us of its travels and experiences. Any dark marks you may see in the photo\'s are from the normal aging of the wood. The cabinet has wonderful colors and grain flow throughout and the size is: 13\" long x 9\" tall x 7\" deep. The brass bezel, knobs, and push buttons were polished and resealed. There is a new rubber gasket around the glass dial cover. New filter capacitors, new AC power cord, 2 new dial lamps, new speaker grill cloth which is a reproduction of the \"Zenith Swirl\" pattern common in these sets. The chassis has been cleaned, tubes tested along with the remaining components. Any weak were tossed and replaced. Speaker in great condition and the voice is strong and clear. There is an antenna pigtail at the rear of the radio which will require a few feet of wire attached in order for the radio to receive and perform properly. The performance and reception will vary based on your location and signal strength. The radio plays great with no issues and offers great pleasure to the eye when admiring such a great piece of the Zenith radio history. One of their big money makers 76 years ago.
