ARMANI AURORA RARE limited #305 OF 1500 Signed By Giuseppe Armani MASTERWORKS:
$1200.00

Giuseppe Armani Aurora Masterworks Retired Limited Edition #305/1500 )

VERY RARE ORIGINAL SIGNATURE SIGNED PIECE

Depicts Aurora, goddess of the dawn with the rosy fingers, from ancient mythology. Armani\'s Masterworks sculpture demonstrates Aurora riding upon her chariot, driven by her white-winged horse Pegasus, as they soar through the clouds on their daily journey to pick up her brother Helios, the sun god.

Aurora was Armani\'s first subject of choice to start his \"Master Works\" program. He first started to work on Aurora (680/C) in October, 1994. The sculpture took over a year to bring to fruition. Armani wrestled with the competing goals of creating a work that was monumental in scale without being overly static and massive. Eventually, Armani solved the problem by inclining the statue on a nearly forty-five degree angle. This solution provides the illusion of flight, while the overall weight of the sculpture remains firmly rooted at the base—a combination of art and physics.

Approximately 22\" H & 24\" W and 32 lbs.

Giuseppe Armani passed away in 2006, so there will be no more like this ever produced, and its value will only increase as time goes by.
