Up for action is this carved doll with fur parka by well-known artist Ken and Iva Lisbourne. The doll stands 10" tall by 5" wide and wears a handmade fur parka. The face is carved with great detail and expression, complete with Ken's signature birthmark on the cheek. Ken & Iva are well-known doll artists, featured in ""Not Just Another Pretty Face", the Alaska Eskimo Issue of "American Indian Art Magazine, Vol. 27, No. 2, Spring 2002, and "Alaska Native Art: Tradition, Innovation, and Continuity" by Susan W. Fair, 2006.Iva passed away in 2009, making her dolls even more rare and sought-after.The doll has been stored in a clean, smoke free environment.The fur is in GOOD condition considering it's age, SLIGHT fur loss on leggings under the parka. The damage does not distract from the beauty of this piece. It was old when I received it, no new damage since I have owned the piece.
