This sale is for a 14\" Schoenhut Doll made by the Schoenhut company in Philadelphia between
1911-1923. This doll is for \"restoration\". I do not know the past history, which doll this is, nor
am I an expert with this type of doll but will try to describe the best I can. I do believe someone
started restoration & carving on the head hair area and did \"not\" finish. I see no re-paint on this doll. Overall wear, made of wood and holds a pose very well, doll is metal spring jointed at the neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knees, and ankles. Head turns fine. On top of the head looks like a metal hook? All spring joints work well. There are holes on the bottom of the feet. This old body is in great shape! Remains where the Schoenhut label was once on the upper back. Doll has blue intaglio eyes and closed \"down turn\" mouth. If you view the photos you can see where doll once had molded hair. Reference shows similar models in the 100\'s series having the wooden hair molded in various ways. Some dolls also had molded bonnets and head bands. No clothing with doll, \"as is\" for repair, parts or restoration. Might look \"awesome\" with some restoration, let you imagination run wild! I have taken plenty of photos.
