This dashing male doll stands approximately 7 3/8 inches tall. He would be the perfect gentleman caller or Papa for your Hitty or similar-sized doll.Please view all ELEVEN photos!This little man is hand-carved of wood (basswood?) by the late, great, Larry Tycksen, a well known doll artist. Mr Tycksen learned the art of doll carving from his father in law, Sherman Smith, also a famous carver of wooden dolls. Larry Tycksen passed away in 2011, at the age of 78.This doll is fully articulated, with working joints at shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. All are in perfect working order. This doll has been a shelf-sitter at my house, and has not been handled much. I had never undressed him at all, until today when I removed his coat and opened the back of his sleeveless shirt to photograph the artist's signature. The doll is dated 1/3/07. I bought it directly from the artist at a UFDC conference. The doll was sold in the costume he still wears.The coat is extremely detailed. The trousers are of a stretchy cloth that allows him to sit and pose easily. Who could resist that handsome mustache?! The winner will receive the male doll and his 3-piece outfit.
