Up for sale are 4 antique cast iron hay tool connectors from the late 1800\'s and early 1900\'s. The interesting thing about the two mechanical connectors on the left is that they were tripped remotely by a trip rope attached to the connector. The Boss sling lock connector is a Myers ( patent date looks to be 1898 ) and the other is unmarked. Both have strong springs and function perfectly. They both have the connector which is often missing. They were usually attached to the center of a sling and when tripped would break the connection at the center of the slings and drop the load of hay. The two pieces on the right are a matched set and were used to connect two ropes together for each end of the hay sling. All 4 pieces are free from any breaks or repairs and have been cleaned and are ready to display or use. Thanks for looking.
