PB&S England - Chelsea Brown Rd2665 - Open Serving Bowl (Soup Tureen w/o Lid ??):
$39.95

This listing is for anantique open serving bowl manufactured in England by Powell, Bishop, and Stonier in the brown version of their \"Chelsea\" pattern. This piece has a circa date of about 1885.This early English transferwarehandled bowlcame from a local estate sale. The bowl is in excellent shape with no cracks, chips, browning or staining, orcrazing. The color and glaze are strong.

Based on my research, I suspect that thispiece is the bowl section of a soup tureen and that it originally had a lid. This open bowl measures about 8 1/2 inches by about 6 inches across the open top of the bowl.

I wouldpersonally classify this piece to be in \"Excellent\"condition.

This is a beautiful example ofantiqueenglish transferware.
