Hand down the NICEST C64 that has come through my shop. Box and System have matching serial numbers, built sometime around September 1983. Comes with rare orange keys, used on earlier models.
What is included: Commodore 64, original box, styrofoam and cardboard inserts, manual, RF cable, RF switch, PSU.
Keyboard is working flawlessly, and same with motherboard. Loads games very easily.
When I received this system, it was dead. Over a couple hours, I isolated the issue and found the KERNAL ROM was bad. Replaced it and socketed it, and it works great.
Also: the CPU, PLA, and SID are socketed. The SID sounds flawless.
PSU has been tested and works fine
In the pictures, I am using Chroma Luma to output the video. This is the nicest signal the C64 natively outputs, so that’s why it looks so nice. RF is not a great standard for any vintage computer, so your mileage may vary with it.
