Vintage Flytech Carry-I 80286 Mini-PC FT-5201-12 - Super Rare - No Power Supply:
$99.00

Rare vintage Flytech "Carry-I" (or is it "Carry-1"?) mini-PC. There's very little information about these to be found, and most of what is out there differs considerably from what we have here...
Wikipedia and most sources state that the Carry-I first appeared around 1990 and came in various configurations, ranging from 8088-equipped models to a high-end 386/16 version. Most of the examples you'll find online look more like a Thin Client-type configuration with no disk drives or expansion abilities and all look considerably different.
This one, however, seems to have been designed as a standalone mini-PC, and it's much newer, carrying a March 1995 manufacture date and a somewhat more modern (Mac-inspired?) design. The hardware inside doesn't seem to have benefitted much from that modernization effort, however... Sure, it's got a 3.5" Floppy and space for an IDE HDD, as well as two ISA slots, but it's still seemingly powered by a 12 MHz 80286 CPU.
The motherboard would seem to imply that this is an FT-9200 - and indeed, it seems there was a 286 model from the initial 1990 versions that went by that number - but instead this actually seems to be FT-5201-12, and I can't find any reference to these models at all (though I did see mention of an FT-32xx series).
Overall the unit is in nice condition and very clean inside, but if you look closely at the picture of the rear you'll notice that "Serial 2" is pretty badly mangled. Otherwise though, it's a nice example of a computing oddity. Oh, you want to see it turned on? Hey, me too! Unfortunately, the power supply is not in our possession. D'oh. So with that in mind, we're listing it AS-IS, as "parts or repair," even though I suspect it would fire right up...
