POWER DOWN THE MAINBOARD BEFORE CHANGING SPEEDS!!!
Make DOS speed sensitive games more stable and run better with slower speeds. This device will give you a little more room for fine tuning those types of late 1980\'s and early 1990\'s DOS games such as Electronic Arts 688 Attack Sub, Chuck Yeager\'s Air Combat, Lucasfilm\'s Their Finest Hour the Battle of Britain and expansion Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe, Wing Commander 1&2 and so on. For those of us retro guys (and gals) that unfortunately have a Socket 7 mainboard that does not support CPU multiplier changes in the BIOS.... here is the easy solution for you that eliminates the need to take the case off of your computer so that you can manually change the jumper pin on your motherboard to a different CPU clock speed multiplier. This is an ON/ON 2 way toggle switch that allows you to replace the jumper on your motherboard with this wiring harness so that the Black wire connects to the *Common (*where the jumper use to be) and then the Gray wire to the 2x PIN on your motherboard for reduced speed and the White wire to the 3.5x PIN for full speed. CHECK YOUR motherboard manual to see what pins you need to connect to for the processor that you are using. The example given above was for a Pentium 233mhz MMX processor running on a FIC VA503+ Super Socket 7 motherboard with 128 meg of PC100 SDRAM, Matrox Millennium II video card with a passthrough cable connecting to a Diamond Monster 3DFX Voodoo 1 and a Creative Labs CT2800 ISA sound card.
Note: I make this entire product by hand from scratch including the soldering of the connections to the switch so please understand that I must charge a decent price to make it worth my time. Thank you.
NOTE: WE CANNOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT MIGHT OCCUR DUE TO INCORRECT CONNECTIONS MADE BY THE CUSTOMER. (This device IS NOT fused) Please use the motherboard manual for your mainboard to help assist you in understanding what pins you need to connect this device to in order to affect the CPU to Bus Frequency Ratio for the processor you are using. If you are still not sure then either get with someone you know that would be able to do this for you or avoid purchasing this item.
FEEL FREE TO ASK ME ANY QUESTION YOU MIGHT HAVE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT.
