Rare Noble and Cooley CD Maple 6 inch \"Octoban\". Single-headed concert tom. Very unusual... I have never seen another Noble & Cooley Octoban.

Rainbow Sparkle Gloss finish. The drum looks glossy black in low light with the sparkles showing in strong light... it looks quite classy... somewhat like a modern take on the classic Rogers \"Mardi Gras\" finish.

Drum condition: Unfortunately the bearing edge needs to be re-done/re-cut. I lent the drum to someone who was headed into the studio and he swapped the hoop out for a low-profile hoop from a Tama Octoban. Because of that hoop\'s low profile, when he tightened the tension rods to a high tension, the hoop and head were drawn down too tightly and the bearing edge was munched in some places. The drum also has issues with the clear coat of the drum\'s finish. These issues are of the clear coat finish and not to the drum itself. The drum/shell itself is not affected by this and the drum otherwise looks good overall. Please see the included blown-up photos. Has a little bit of other cosmetic wear from standard use and the hoop shows a ding.

The drum could potentially be played as-is or the drum could be refinished by someone like Mayer Bros, who do refurbs and who Ibelieve do the finishes for some of Craviotto\'s drums.... top quality stuff. A quick Google search should help you find Mayer Bros. I\'m sure there are many other qualified companies out there who do refurbs as well.
