LOGIC-BOARDSAPPLE LOGIC BOARD ENTHUSIASTS
The below part is a Genuine-Apple part that has not been repaired or refurbished in any way.It was pulled (by us) from a working unit that was being parted-out. It will work perfectly and reliably in every way, without any sacrifices in performance (color/brightness). We have included a photo in this sale showing the differences in brightness/color between a fake (\"NEW\") LCD assembly, and a Genuine-Apple part (this sale).
PLEASE NOTE: It is critical that you consider the risks of buying a \"NEW\" or \"Refurbished\" LCD for any Apple Silicon (2020+) MacBook models. Almost every single display being sold as \"NEW\" or \"refurbished\" on or elsewhere, is not a Genuine-Apple part. They are generic/third-party displays, or genuine-Apple *lids* (sometimes even the lids are fake) that have had third-party/generic LCD panels (and internals) installed. Aside from the obvious shortcomings of all generic/third-party LCD assemblies--dull & washed-out colors, poor viewing angles, 80% total brightness of original part--these cheaper, lower-quality LCD assemblies often damage users\' logic boards, usually killing the board\'s sleep function.PART description2020 A2337 13\" MacBook Air LCD Assembly, GOLD, Grade-B+/A-,+ 1-Year Warranty
The condition of the LCDs vary between B+ and A-, with excellent-condition LCD/glass and very minor signs of wear externally. These are not \"perfect\" or \"brand new\" parts; they are better--they are Genuine-Apple clean-pull parts with a full 1-Year (12-Month) Warranty. Photo showing a sample LCD working to show general quality. We have several to sell, and will pull the \"best ones\" first, but all are very acceptable/great condition.
We have purchased a large number of decommissionedcorporate and educational units, and are parting-out the excess-colored components. These ARE NOT the cheap, hyper-problematic generic/fake/third-party/refurbished \"NEW\" LCD assemblies you will find litteredall over and Amazon. Those panels are very poor quality (muddy colors, lower brightness, worse viewing angles, generally \"dull\") when they even work properly. Many of them are afflicted with liquid-damaged internals and were \"refurbished\" by someone with a terrible-quality LCD and sold as \"new\".
Additionally, the fake (\"new\") LCD assemblies for the Apple Silicon (M1/M2+) units are FREQUENTLY FAULTY AND OFTEN DAMAGE LOGIC BOARDS. It is HIGHLY ADVISABLE--coming from a 20-year-Apple master technician--that you not use any non-Genuine Apple LCD assemblies *for Apple Silicon models specifically*! This is because many of these panels were improperly refurbished with Intel-model (i.e. A2179, A1932, etc) internal bits/pieces (camera, wiring/harness, ALS assembly) that were designed (data/comm/clk circuits) to run on 3.3v, whereas the newer M1/M2 Apple Silicon model LCD internals run on 1.8v. We have seen an UNBELIEVABLE increase in damaged M1/M2 units that had fake/generic/faulty \"NEW\" LCD assemblies installed. The primary mode of failure is damage to the CPU\'s sleep/wake circuit; you\'ll often notice the unit no longer sleeps (after \"working fine\" for a few weeks), and it\'s usually due to a damaged CPU. So, do not risk installing a generic/fake/faulty LCD assembly on your M1/M2+ unit--always use genuine. Pay more and avoid the risk, I promise!PART COMPATIBILITYThis Genuine-Apple LCD Assembly is compatible ONLY with 2020 A2337 13\" M1 MacBook Air 10,1 (EMC 3598) models. You can install a Gold LCD onto any color unit (of course), but under no circumstances should you EVER connect an M1/Apple-Silicon LCD assembly to an Intel-powered logic board (i.e. the 2020 A2179 Intel model--NOT COMPATIBLE). You will damage both the logic board and the LCD assembly.Do not attempt to install board into any other model than the 2020 A2338 M1 13\" Air units.Part WARRANTYThis LCD assembly carries a full 12-month Warranty ONLY if it is installed by a Mac/Apple or PC repair technician or business who has experience servicing modern Apple computer models. Our warranty does not cover damage caused by abuse/misuse or use of third-party batteries, chargers or LCDs. Our warranty also does not cover damage caused by lack-of-knowledge regarding part-compatibility. If you connect an Apple Silicon LCD to an Intel board--or vice versa--and you kill the part, and return it to us as \"not working\", or \"changed my mind\", we will not issue you a refund. If you damage the LCD by connecting it to a liquid-damaged/burned/shorted logic board, we will not issue you a refund. We do not issue refunds for damaged returned parts, under any circumstance, even if you \"aren\'t aware\" or \"don\'t believe\" that you damaged it (we will explain in-depth with photos proving you did, to both you and , if you return a damaged part).free installation servicesWe provide FREE logic board or LCD installation service for all customers who would like it. Installation service is REQUIRED for all individual (i.e. non-business) buyers. While we do not currently require it for business/retail customers, we STRONGLY ENCOURAGE them to take advantage of it, especially if they are not intimately familiar with current/modern Apple computer models.NON-BUSINESS CUSTOMERSFree Board Installation Service is now required for any non-business/retail customer, without exception. Please message us for instructions to safely pack & ship your unit to us for the board installation. If you are a business without an actual business shipping address (i.e. you work from your home), then please message us and we can accommodate.
Our FREE installation service takes 2-3 days (after we receive your unit, assuming no other work is required). The service is completely free, except for the cost you incur to ship the unit to us. We include the same 12-month warranty for you as well. During the installation, we also perform a FREE full inspection & diagnostic of every component on your unit, to ensure there are no other issues that would prevent your unit from working properly after new board is installed (relatively common, especially in cases of liquid-damage). If we find anything that requires attention, we will inform you BEFORE any work is done. If any additional work is required (~25% of installs), we will price-out the additional work for your approval. Any additional work done would also be fully covered by a comprehensive 12-month warranty. In some cases, we may be able to repair your current board for ~40% less than a board replacement cost.
We understand this new process is not ideal, and that it may frustrate many users looking to repair their own computers. We continue to support Right-To-Repair, and encourage users to explore third-party repair options whenever possible (many are better than Apple themselves). However, as a business, we have seen an astronomical increase in buyer-damaged logic boards being returned to us as \"defective\", \"not working\", \"faulty\", \"bad\", \"no power\", \"no display\", etc. Some of these boards are damaged (and returned) by businesses and retail shops/stores, but the vast majority are returned by buyers attempting to repair their own computers.Replacing the logic board in your own 2018+ Apple unit is not a process you want to attempt once, \"for the first time\". The newer models are worlds-away in complexity and fragility from the 2008-2015 models, and require much more care and attention-to-detail to properly service.
Even super-enthusiastic self-proclaimed \"tech experts\" typically struggle with newer units; they will unknowingly knock or scrape components off the board (when retrieving trapped cables during installation, for example); they damage connectors (or cables) because they don\'t know how the connector works or where the proper leverage points are; they often use the wrong tool for certain steps, often puncturing delicate cables or stripping screws; they inadvertently damage or kill CPUs/GPUs by connecting liquid-damaged/shorted, faulty/generic, or incorrect-model LCDs to boards; and they carelessly drop small tools onto the board surface, chipping tiny, fragile, critical electrical components. Also, if you\'re (unknowingly) dealing with a non-board failure (as many customers will), you also risk going through the entire board purchase/installation before properly determining if all of your other non-logic-board components (LCD, Battery, Trackpad, USB-C Ports, Keyboard, TouchBar, etc) are working properly. If they are not, you WILL have issues--even with a perfectly-working logic board installed. In fact, many people who order new logic boards DON\'T ACTUALLY NEED new logic boards at all, but another component instead. These are all things you cannot learn or know to anticipate without frequent experience working on these models, period.ShippingWe ship all items within 3 business days of cleared payment being received. It may ship sooner, but it may ship on the third day. If we determine that the shipping address provided is NOT a business, we will cancel the order and provide the reason as \"problem with buyer\'s shipping address\".
