This is just an enclosure and does not contain any disks. You must add your own disk(s). Disk installation is super simple.
If you look at the photos, this item is in unusually great shape unlike others currently for sale or those that have sold in the past year.
Enclosure has three modes. JBOD (\"just a bunch of disks\"/individual disk mode), RAID 0 and RAID 1. Drive is well made and most importantly very dependable. See manufacturer\'s site for full details. I am the original owner. I have never had any issues with this product. I am retiring it because I now rely on laptops and cloud storage.
Item comes with power cord, USB 3.0 Super Speed cable and Firewire 800 cable. It does not come with the original box.
