Early 1984 Macintosh original 128K RAM motherboard from Model M0001 first Mac, date stamped 1983. Later revision 128K boards were date stamped 1983-84, and could be configured with either 128K or 512K RAM, this is the early 128K only. The 4-digit date codes on the chips range from 8315 to 8408 indicating week 15 of 1983 to week 8 of 1984, most are from 1983 or very early 1984. The CPU is coded 8401 indicating week 1 of 1984 production, and the RAM chips have a 3 next to the Apple logo so assume that is for the year of 1983 when they were produced but not sure. So this board is originally from a very early 1984 production original Macintosh, making it less common.
Board is very nice and clean, undamaged. When last tested with good ROM chips installed it displayed a common RAM error with Sad Mac when powered on, so likely needs RAM chip/s replaced to work again. No guarantees as replacing RAM requires soldering in new chips to the board which requires specialized skill and care, which is solely at buyer\'s own risk. The original socketed ROM chip set was previously removed as shown, so it will also need working Mac ROM chips installed if buyer intends to use the board.
Also would be great to mount in a frame and put on display given the historic significance of the original first Macintosh!
