Votalker C-64 is a speech synthesizer for the Commodore 64 computer. The system is an extended box with built-in speaker. Commands in BASIC language can be used to direct characters to be sent to the synthesizer and to modify the synthesizer's operation. Characters directed to the synthesizer are spoken as English words, according to the device's pre- programmed phonetic rules. Three modes of speech can be selected: conversational (punctuation not spoken), verbatim (punctuation spoken), and character (each character spoken separately). A screen echoing feature allows all text going to the monitor to be spoken as it appears. Volume and pitch are controllable with commands; an external knob on the unit is used to adjust the speech rate. Votalker C-64 plugs directly into the Commodore expansion port. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Commodore 64 computers.Complete in carton with manual and softwareInspection Welcome
