This was tested and working until a disk got stuck in the drive. The metal shield at the end of the floppy stuck up and got caught in the drive. In taking out the floppy, I applied too much force and now the drive no longer works.
It may be possible to fix the floppy drive. If you\'re technically inclined, you\'d probably be better off replacing the drive with a hard drive - which is the better way to use a 1040STf.
The mouse is broken. When last tested it went up and down but didn\'t work laterally. I believe these are possible to refurbish but I don\'t know how this is done.
