This board is being listed as-is, for parts or repair only.It is iCloud/Activation or MDM/DEP locked, and will require unlocking to be fully functional.No parts have been pulled/remove and no repairs have been performed. Boards are all clean-pulls from locked units (all returned corporate/education units that had users not logged out of their iCloud accounts). Each board includes the original matching TouchID button.
Good Uses for Locked Boards:
1. Locked boards make great parts boards; pull your CD3217s, ISLs, PMUs, etc, and know they are very likely working chips. You will need to re-ball, but that's quick and easy (ask us for instructions).
2. Locked boards make great test-boards, and are useful in testing components from a unit with a dead board. Locked boards will still confirm LCD functionality, and will even run Apple Diagnostics fine as well (check battery status/health, etc).
3. Hold onto the board and check for it to be unlocked ever ~3-6 months or so. People DO occasionally realize they have this "unknown" (or no-longer-owned) unit tied to their account, and will do 'housekeeping' and remove the old units. We go through and check all of our iCloud-locked boards every 6-months or so, and usually find at least one that has since become unlocked.
