Vintage Sager MP-975D (Intel Pentium MMX @ 166 MHz, 16 MB RAM, Win95):
$110.00

This sale is for a vintage Sager MP-975D laptop. This laptop was received through a shipment of older computers so I have no knowledge of any previous history. It has been tested to power on and boot to Windows 95. The original battery does not hold a charge but the OEM AC adapter is included. The laptop must have been reset from an old Restore CD as there was no personal information found on the HDD.
Cosmetic wise: The laptop has had a rough life with scuffs and marks dotted around the chassis. The battery door was taped up as the plastic latch broke off. The battery would continue to pop out until it was taped shut. The lid is in pretty good condition with the plastic outline for the Sager logo being empty. There is a small white mark by the indicator panel. The rubber feet on the bottom chassis have long since disintegrated with there being some white spots near the battery door. The palm rest has some more white spots which looks to be the remains of some tape holding the battery door shut. The keyboard and touch pad show some wear. The screen hinges are a bit wobbly with the left latch being broken off. The installed HDD might be too tall as the HDD caddy sticks out slightly. The front cover containing the power button is loose.Performance wise: The laptop has some pretty abysmal performance. Windows 95 takes a bit to load fully but it does work once everything has warmed up. Some error messages will appear from time to time leading me to believe Windows might be corrupted. The HDD also has some bad sectors on it which can lead to poor performance. Performance drops are to be expected when using vintage hardware and software. When booting, Windows may complain that it cannot find a Backpack CDROM drive, this can be ignored and does not affect performance. NOTE: The internal CMOS battery is dead. Certain BIOS settings such as the date/time, HDD configuration and other custom settings will need to be reset if the laptop loses power.
