This is a Vendex Headstart II vintage computer system. It comes with the computer "mainframe" itself, plus a keyboard, mouse, and monitor. The monitor shows white stripes, but does not display the output from the computer. We do not know if this is a problem with the monitor or the computer. The mouse plugs into the special mouse port on the back. The keyboard shown is included, though we have no way to test it's functionality. This vintage computer receives power and sounds like a normal computer while running. After awhile, it makes the double-beep noise like a BIOS does when it has a CMOS time error. We do not have the knowledge or equipment to further test this machine, so we're selling it AS-IS. TWe didn't try to clean the patina off this machine, we only gave it a light dusting. It really doesn't have hardly a mark on it though. I won't go as far as to say that it's museum quality, but it's darned nice looking. The machine does have yellowing, but it's pretty uniform.
Vendex computers are the ones that are known for their advertising scandal featuring WWE star "King Kong" Bundy. Look up the commericials and the LGR video talking about Vendex for more if you don't know. This is not just a really cool machine, the advertising scandal gives you a cool story to talk about with your friends too!
Please note that these are VINTAGE machines. They run DOS and early versions of Windows that have been unsupported for at least two or three decades. We sell modern computers that are perfect for going online and using in today's modern computing world, but this isn't one of them. We have no way of verifying the specs in this machine, but according to "HomeComputerMuseum.nl" this machine was released in 1988, had an AMD 8088-1 processor that ran at 9MHz, and 640kB of RAM.
Please review the photographs for cosmetic details. Vintage computers always have some scuffs, scrapes, dings, and scratches- they've had many years to accumulate those beauty marks. This system was dropped off at our E-Waste recycling bin, so we don't know the history of it. It is a clean, nice machine that will make a beautiful addition to your collection!
