This is a repaired and cleaned Commodore 64 that is fully functional. It has been tested with a LCD display, Commodore floppy drive, joystick, cartridge game, and power supply. Every key on the keyboard is functional. NO POWER SUPPLY INCLUDED. Sorry, I have only two power supplies for the many Commodore computers that I have and repair.When I received this Commodore 64, it only displayed a cyan screen for a few seconds, then it would display only a black screen upon boot. In diagnosing the system, I discovered the failure of a 74LS257 chip at board location U25. I replaced the chip, and the system booted correctly. In subsequent testing, I discovered that the SID (Sound Interface Device) chip was faulty. I replaced it with a new technology SwinSID chip, which runs much cooler and is extremely reliable. Now the system operates perfectly, and has passed numerous hours of cycle testing. It's ready for many hours of enjoyment.
If you are going to acquire a power supply for this Commodore 64, please purchase a new one if you can. The old ones that are available are dangerous and can kill the computer when the power supply fails and injects higher than required voltage. If you do buy an old one, please purchase a power protector unit that goes in-between the power connector and the computer. It will save the computer in the event that the power supply fails. Search the internet for these items. Being that this computer is several decades old, it must be sold AS IS.
