Detailed Explanation for this Vulnerability Assessment

The remote host is missing the patch for the advisory MDKSA-2001:075 (sendmail).


An input validation error exists in sendmail that may permit local users to write
arbitrary data to process memory. This could possibly permit the execute of code
or commands with elevated rights and may also permit a local attacker to gain
access to the root account.
