Check for the version of the openssl package Detailed Explanation for this Vulnerability Assessment The remote host is missing the patch for the advisory SUSE-SA:2003:024 (openssl). Researchers from the University of Stanford have discovered certain weaknesses in OpenSSL's RSA decryption algorithm. It permits remote attackers to compute the private RSA key of a server by observing its timing behavior. This bug has been fixed by enabling 'RSA blinding', by default. Additionally an extension of the 'Bleichenbacher attack' has been developed by Czech researchers against OpenSSL. This weakness has also been fixed. Please download the update package for your distribution and verify its integrity by the methods listed in section 3) of this announcement. Then, install the package using the command 'rpm -Fhv file.rpm' to apply the update.
