This typically involved preparing a disk with the appropriate version of DOS and, when required, BASIC or BASICA, then copying the necessary program files from the supplied master disk. This initially threw me off, but appears to be how these Vanpak packages accommodated different IBM PC-family configurations. If this software does not simply boot directly from the supplied disk, please follow the original installation instructions before assuming there is a problem with the media.

Historical Interest

Colography dates to 1983, near the beginning of the commercial IBM PC software era. Cactus Software used the Colography name commercially beginning in September 1983 and later registered it as a federal trademark.

The program was specifically described as software for creating drawings on a computer display, storing those drawings, and reproducing them using a computer printer. This makes it an interesting surviving example of early PC graphics and digital-illustration software.
