10GbE OPNsense Firewall VPN AES QAT 4-Core Atom C3558 2.20GHz 8GB DDR4 128GB SSD:
$165.00

Repurposed enterprise-grade network appliance configured for OPNsense. Hardware is OEM server-class equipment originally manufactured for commercial deployment. This is not a Netgate appliance and is not manufactured by Netgate. It is OEM enterprise hardware repurposed for OPNsense. It is a desktop form-factor network unit powered by a server-class 4-core Intel Atom C3558 (2.20 GHz, 8 MB cache) processor with AES-NI and Intel QAT support, making it well-suited for firewall, routing, VPN, and network services workloads.Equipped with 8GB DDR4 ECC memory (built-in) with one free SODIMM slot available for expansion, six built-in Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports (4× Intel I350, 2× Intel X553), plus two SFP+-based 10GbE ports for high-throughput networking. The 10GbE SFP+ ports are Intel X553N-based and operate at 1GbE or 10GbE depending on the transceiver and link partner. Intermediate 2.5GbE / 5GbE (NBASE-T) speeds are not supported by the controller. SFP+ modules not included. Additional connectivity includes one micro-USB console port (cablenot included), two USB 3.0 ports, 128GB M.2 SATA SSD, and 16GB onboard eMMC storage. The unit can technically be upgraded to 24GB RAM, however the memory slot is not externally accessible and requires full disassembly of the appliance. For customers without experience working on compact enterprise hardware, we generally recommend keeping the factory configuration. The included 8GB ECC on-board memory is more than sufficient for routing and firewall workloads. The system comes with the latest release of OPNsense pre-installed and the Web management interface is accessible out of the box using the included setup notes.Unlike consumer plug-and-play routers, enterprise systems may:
- Display status LED colors during boot that differ from typical home devices
- Take longer to complete POST and operating system initialization
- Require manual network configuration depending on your environment
Console access is available for advanced users who wish to monitor the boot process or perform low-level configuration, but it is not required for normal setup.Important note on cooling:
Unlike higher-performance models, this unit operates significantly quieter and is suitable for office or home environments where low noise is important. Cooling performance is stable and optimized for continuous operation without excessive fan noise.Includes a high quality compatible 60W AC power adapter with threaded locking DC barrel plug and power cord.Condition: Excellent overall physical condition; may show minor cosmetic wear such as light superficial scratches from normal handling. Unit may show original manufacturer markings or asset labels. Branding is not guaranteed and should be considered cosmetic only. This listing is for functionality and performance, not for a specific brand or model. This appliance is well-suited for networking enthusiasts, IT professionals, and users comfortable managing firewall/router settings through a Web interface or text console. If you are seeking a consumer router with automated mobile-app-based setup and manufacturer technical support, this may not be the right product for you.
Warranty: 30-day warranty included.
