Offered in this sale is a fabulous big, bold and impressive antique Herend porcelain covered tureen with a figural cherub finial decorated with the ever popular Rothschild Bird pattern that dates to the early 1900s. It is marked on the underside of the base with a mark that Herend only used from roughly 1915 - 1930 (see 2nd image). This is a BIG piece that measure a full 12\" tall to the top of the finial x 15\" long x 10\" wide and weighs close to 7 1/2 pounds. It has branch handles and applied flowers on either end where the handles join the base. The condition is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration of any kind. This is a seldom seen form with the 3\" tall figural cherub finial. Be sure to enlarge and zoom each image for a close up view of the detail and the condition.
