VINTAGE IMPERIAL PRESSED GLASS BIRTHDAY CAKE PLATE

GORGEOUS, LARGE and HEAVY,  old  pressed glass BIRTHDAY cakeplate, cake plate, salver, pastry display. The pattern is IMPERIAL #165, TRADITION.  Glassmaker:  Imperial Glass Co., Dunkirk, IN, ca. 1930\'s.    She\'s a lovely old cake plate done in thick heavy glass with a deeply and crisply pressed pattern. She has sockets around the edge of the plate to hold 72 candles...if you need more candles, you can just put them right on your cake!  This plate is fun to use for any celebration, just change the candle color to fit the occasion!  Stunning!    A delightful piece for your dining table, buffet or countertop!  Try red & green candles for the holidays!

LARGE SIZE: 13\"! She stands up about 1/2\" off the table on three legs.  She\'s a  heavy piece of old glass, weighing in at 4-1/4 lb. before packing.  The candle sockets hold very slim candles...the least expensive candles at your grocery fit best!

VERY NICE CONDITION! NO CHIPS!  NO CRACKS! The glass is CRYSTAL CLEAR & SPARKLING!  There is a molding flaw UNDER the plate...looks like a burst bubble. (see photo)  It\'s not readily noticed as it is under the plate and is found most easily by feel. She has some teensy tiny bubbles in the glass and some tiny mold marks...typical of pressed glass of this era. She has just a few light  scratches to the plate face... you\'ll really have to look hard to find them...best seen by holding the plate up to bright light.    She\'s a lovely old cake server and she displays beautifully. You won\'t be disappointed, she\'s an absolute TREASURE!
