Description:

This is what I call a \"Once in a Lifetime\" piece, made by Marcel Boucher who apprenticed under Pierre Cartier. Read the article below for more information about him. This 1940s bracelet is a three dimensional floral design measuring 7-3/4\" long by just under 1-1/2\" (36mm) wide and 11mm thick. Weight is 62.5 grams. In excellent condition. See the fifth and sixth pictures for the makers marks. Lovely patina. Please see my other vintage \"Once in a Lifetime\" Mexico pieces I have listed this week. Please do not contact us to end the sales early. We appreciate any and all offers.

From Wikipedia...Marcel Boucher(1898–1965) was aFrenchjeweller. In the early 1920s, he moved toNew York Citywhere he developed a passion forjewellery design, studying underPierre Cartieras an apprentice.[1]By the 1930s, he was working for Mazer Brothers. However, in 1937 he decided to establish his own company, which he called Marcel Boucher and Cie. Jewelry by Boucher is almost always signed (meaning a marking signifying authenticity was put on the piece) and has an inventory number on it somewhere.[2]Some of the earliest marks say \'Marboux\' or \'MB.\'[2]Boucher usedwhite metalin his pieces, but the entry of the USA inWorld War IImeant that metal was scarce.[3]At that point, Boucher began using silver in his work, even moving toMexicofor a brief stint to utilize the silver there.[3]His pins were often made to look3D, sometimes with several layers.
