Description Areally superbrare English antique Georgian/Regency solid silver 8 piece sewing set, dating from around 1830 and housed in its original leather bound fitted case.Beautiful quality set, consisting of asilver measuring tape with probably the original full length silk tape,silver basket pin cushion with swing handle, decorative solid silver needle, ornate silver thimble,silver scissors with silver blade cover,silver tweezers with rare opium spoonhandle, and silver sewing stiletto. All pieces fit perfectly into their recessed compartments and the interior of the box is lined in blue velvet. There are no engraved added monograms or crests. Direct from a private estate.

Measurements The case measures approx5.95 inches (150mm) x 3.95 inches (98mm) and is1.2 inches (30mm) deep. The scissors measure 4.5 inches in length.

Date English antique late Georgian/Regency solid silver, unmarked as is quite typical with early silver sewing items from this period, but 100% guaranteed antique silver and dating from around 1825-1835.ConditionLovelycondition, all looks very original and all items are the perfect fit in their recessed compartments. No splits or cracks to the silver and no nasty knocks or dents. The scissors have a small old repairabove one of the handle rings, they still work perfectly and are sharp, (could be improved if wanted) and they still have their blade protector. The measuring tape pulls out and winds in fine and looks to have the original full length purple silver tape. The basket pin cushion still has its swing handle which moves freely. The thimble is in great condition with no holes. The leather bound fitted case is in lovely condition, some little exterior age scuffs, the interior velvet has no tears or splits.Honestly looks to have been very little used, despite being 180+ years old, so rare to find a set that has not been split up and the items sold separatelywhichcould easily be done.A very rare find anddirect from a private estate.Beautifulrarecased antiqueGeorgian/Regency solid silversewing set.Shipping and packing and rates
