Description A beautifulrare Scottishantique Victorian Mauchline Tartan warethimble/needle holder in the shape of an egg, in good condition, and decorated in the \"Albert\" pattern tartan.Lovely quality genuine 130 year old 19th Century example,(definitely not a modern re-production), with a good strong colouring andcontains a genuine antique sterling silver thimble, (with no wearholes), and also a few needles.Has the tartan pattern name \"Albert\" stamped in gold on the side.

Measurements Measures approx. 2.2 inches (55mm) in length and is1.3 inches (33mm) in diameter.

Date Antique Victorian Mauchline tartan ware, guaranteed genuine 19th Century, dating from around 1880. The silver thimble has English silver hallmarks for Chester 1918, (date letter \"S\") and is by Charles Horner.ConditionGood condition,no splits or cracks to the wood and the tartan still has a strong vivid colour and is in great condition, just a couple of teeny surface digs, really nothing. Complete with antique silver thimble which is also in good condition, no wear holes. Lovely antique sewing item.Shipping and packing rates
