Welcome! This listing is for single key tops taken from various antique pianos known as the tails. They measure about 4\" by .5\". Also, the average thickness is less than 1 mm. You will receive similar pieces to the ones in the pictures. The back sides have a texture that was engraved in order to apply adhesive in the piano making process. These keys have been polished--there may be some light hairline scratches from decades of use. Shades vary from light yellow to white. I try to take the best pictures possible so that you can see some of the beautiful natural patterns present. No two keys are exactly the same. All of the wood and adhesive has been removed. They can be re-purposed into any kind of project--highly recommend for scrimshaw. I advise using your tools in the lowest settings to start with if you\'ve never drilled or etched ivory before.
