I AM AN ELDERLY HIGH END CUSTOM KNIFE COLLECTOR, BEEN COLLECTIING FOR OVER 20 YEARS. I HAVE HUNDREDS AND IT IS TIME TO SELL. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED, PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER KNIVES LISTED. I PLAN TO SELL A FEW EACH WEEK FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU HAVE A PARTICULAR MAKER IN MIND, DROP ME A NOTE I MAY HAVE IT. CHECK MY response, NO WORRIES THEREThis is MOST SPECIAL fighter knife. It is from Legendary knife maker extraordinare Mr. Mel Pardue(Repton, Ala.). Mel makes very few knives these days due to his age and other activities. He has been one of the most influential knifemakers in his time. His first attemp at knife making was in 1957iiTODAY HIS KNIVES ARE SOME OF THE FINEST AVAILABLE! Mel was a protege of the late great knifemaker Frank Centofante. Mel is quoted as saying, \"I truly believe that without Frank\'s help and friendship, I would not be here today, involved in Custom Knife Making\". Mel joined the Knifemakers Guild in 1976--he has serverd on many levels of this guild. Mels back ground is in Mechanical and Civil Engineering, and currently he is serving as an instructor as the American Bladesmity Society school in Washington, Arkansas and the Alabama Forge Council. MR. MEL PARDUE--A TRUE KNIFE MAKING LEGEND!This piece is simply put--AWESOME! It is also a very rare piece--a large custom forged double edge Subhilt Fighter. It is in Exceptional condition for its age. 12\"OAL, 7.25\"BL, ATS-34 mirror polished steel. Blade is double edge sharpened, both top and bottom are hollow ground. It is stamped \"PARDUE\" on the left side of the blade--it is authenticaed as being made by Mel--not brother, Joe. The subhilt guard is nickel-silver. The only flaw I see on the knife is a very, faint scratch on the rear portion of the subhilt. It will not photograph. The scares are beautiful Desert Ironwood secured to the DRAMATICALLY FULL TAPERED TANG by 4 nickel-ssiver pins and thong hole. Super real lizard skin sheath made for knife!DEFINITELY AN HEIRLOOM PIECE FOR EVERY SERIOUS KNIFE COLLECTOR--MUST HAVE, DON\'T LET IT GET AWAY
