  • An antique late Victorian or early Edwardian period c1900 travelling sewing kit or etui along with other accessories, as shown. The tools come in their Moroccan leather covered and silk lined fitted case in the form of a handbag with carrying handle and push button release catch. It measures 7.35 in (186 mm) x 5.5 in (140 mm) x 1.65 in (42 mm) excluding handle. The sides fold down enabling easy access of the tools and the central section has a lift-off lid which provides storage space for needles etc.. The kit contains a perfume bottle corkscrew with MOP handle, cow bone handled tools and needle case, button hooks, later Stratnoid thimble etc.. The packets of needles have Volans non Serpens trademark. Most appear to be original or of the period and are in very good collectable condition ( manicure tool has snapped point) and would make a lovely addition to someones collection, display or for use etc...
