VERY SCARCE med. yellow OLIVE GREEN~DR J.HOSTETTER\'S STOMACH BITTERS~W.McC &Co E:
$1065.00

WELCOME and thanks for stopping by. Not far from being in pristine condition is this fantastic colored Hostetter\'s AND in an extremely scarce colorwhich in my experience, is MUCH more difficult to find than even the nice grassy green ones that usually bring on average of $2000 plus on the occasions when they come up for sale. Without any back lighting, this beautiful Hos. is predominantly OLIVE GREEN.But then it\'s got a great YELLOWtone to it as well. Especially when you get some good light coming through it. So since I couldn\'t find asuitable color for this text that\'s close enough to accurately represent the color of the glass, I\'m just going to stick with this drab olive for the rest of the description because this looks to be about as close as it gets. But the actual color of this bottle is way, WAY better as you can plainly see.OK, so for those of you who collect Hostetter\'s or might specialize in collecting mold variations, bitters bottles in general, or maybe even just a specific colored bottle, thenthis is one you\'re NOT going to want to pass up. If you do,... believe me, you WILL regret it. This bottle isin a KILLER color and as good as the photos might look, the winning buyer is going to like it even MORE when he or she finally gets it \'in hand\'. Wait till you seejust what an amazing color it is!I\'m going to make sure to let you know that I paid BIG money for this bottle and I really hope that I\'m not going to be disappointed with the end results. Just be forewarned that if by the time there\'s about 12 hrs. left to go before the listing ends, and the current offer at the time isn\'t where it needs to be, I will end my listing. Because rather than losing money on this breathtaking piece of glass, I wouldmuch rather keep it in my collection. And for those of you who are scratching their heads and wondering why this BITTERS bottle is also listed inthe medicines & cures category, it\'s obvious that you\'ve never read what it says on onewith an original label. The bottle is in AMAZING, all original condition and while it looks \"attic\"stored, it was actually found in the opposite direction of the house. I was told that this was a basement crawl spacefind and that the bottle had just been sitting down there for who knows how long. Definitely an un-dug pieceand quite obviously never cleaned/tumbled.(see last photo of base) I gave it a good bath with soap & water only. There\'s absolutely NO damage at all and likeonly two or possibly three very small, VERY light and hardly noticeable scratches on the entire bottle. Just one other thingto let you know about (and it\'s really not even a condition issue), is that there\'s a bit of very light ground stainin places on the outside (which can be seen in some of the photos) from having been in adamp and dank basement for ?? many years. But for something like that which is SO minor, I wasn\'t willing to run therisk of having it lightly cleaned because there\'s always a chance, no matter how small it is, that thebottle could break while inside the cylinder. Plus, I like the fact that this bottle has never been messed with and is pretty much just how it was the day it was made after it left the William McCully & Co. glass house in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a very crude looking one too, with a reallynice drippy applied lip and thin wafers of broken glass which are fused just inside the neck. Which is longer than most at 2 full inches. There\'s alsoa tiny piece of glass that\'s stuck to the outside on one of the blank panels, so please don\'t try pickingit off of there..... BAD idea!..... Anyway, I can\'t say enough good things about this one and if not for the bills, I wouldn\'t even be parting with this bottle. (That also goes for quite a few other bottles that I\'ve had to let goof recently) ) : So I\'ll end it here and let the pics tell the rest. Height is exactly 9 inches. and BEST of LUCK to you!!
Payment through paypal is expected within a week\'s time, but a quick payment is always welcome andwould also be very much appreciated. Other payment options are also a possibility, but this would haveto be discussed in advance and so you would needto contact me at least two full days prior to the endof the listing. Once payment clears, I\'ll do my best to get your package in themail and on its way toyou ASAP. The only reason I\'m letting go of this KILLER color is that I have LOTS of bills and I need to sale off some of my bottles in orderto help out with expenses. So what I\'m kind of getting at is that I would really appreciate not having to deal with any returns because of what I said about my bills. So if there are any questions or concerns you have regarding this item, please make sure you ASK them. And please be sure to ask them BEFORE you enter a offer. If you have time, checkout my other listings and don\'t forget to keep watching for more SWEET antique glass to come in thenear future.THANKS and have a great day! ( :
