Fresh from a Victorian era Maine home and originally the property of a World War II combat wounded United States Army Surgeon (now deceased) from the 132nd Anti-aircraft Gun Battalion (provenance available to buyer), we are pleased to offer these “in theater” WWII artifacts which were gathered by this U.S. Army Captain during his tours of duty in the European Theater.
THIS sale: Is for a LARGE, ORIGINAL & ID\'d World War II Ephemera lot pertainting to the United States Army 9th Division, 132nd Anti-Aircraft Gun Battalion. The lot consists of over 80 pieces, which will includes used field maps, "secret" & "restricted" orders and memorandums, ration booklets, manuals, menus, newspapers and MORE!!! Please see below for a more detailed account of the lot.
Booklets & Manuals - titles include: "That Men Might Live", "German - Langue Guide", "Dr. Baur\'s Gamarrerbuchlein", "Camp Kilmer", "Guide to Occupation of German Communities by Small Units", "Short Guide to Great Britain" and "How to see Paris - for the soldiers of the Allied Army"
Secret & Restricted Orders highlights include: "A Confidential Report" (in regards to the nutrition of German Internees at CAMP 72 in Ludwigsburg), "General & Special Orders for Sentinels", "German - American Relations", "Preparation For Overseas Movement", "S-2 War Summary", "The Ninth Army - It\'s Role In Victory", "U.S. Forces European Theater - Shaef War Room at Reims, France", "Indoctrination For Return to U.S.", "Annual Report of Medical Detachment" and and intresting official report that talks about Gonorrhea and Syphilis and how GI\'s should not "come home" and approach American women and ask "HOW MUCH".
The lot also includes -(3) field map (torn and in poor condition), a certificate for CAPTURED ENEMY EQUIPMENT, Menues, Ration booklets and MORE!
All of the items in this collection are guaranteed to be authentic and original IN THEATER artifacts that were brought directly home by this brave Maine soldier.
