GREETINGS! Offered for your collectingpleasure is a beautiful, large 25\" tallrarely seen antique dolly faceGiebler Falk doll.Uniquely crafted of heavy aluminum metal for their head, hands and feetand of wood for their torso & ball jointed limbs, these hard to find dolls weremade in America for only a brief period of time between 1918-1920. They strongly resemble Schoenhut dolls of the same era. Her original paint isperfect and her face paint has vibrant with feathered brows, upper and lower lashes, eye corner and nostril dots,closed mouth painted to appear open with rose pinklipsandpainted white upper teethand rosy well rounded cheeks. Her weighted sleep eyes are an expressivevibrant brown spriral litho on tin. She has a lovelyreplaced auburn/brownsynthetic wig styled inlong sausagerolls andtight bang curls. She is string mounted on a composition ball jointed body with aluminum metal hands, wooden arms and legsand wooden feet with movement at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. The back of her head is impressed with a G within a 6 pointed star and 25, U.S. PAT. She isimpeccably dressed in a cute pink ribbon laced and lace trimmed green dress, matching white flower print pinafore, matching ribbon & lace trimmed slip and pantaloons, white lace/mesh tights and petite white leather pointed toe shoes with little rosebuds on the toesand white ribbon ties. Herwigis clean and full, heraluminum metalis perfect, her paint is perfect, her composition is excellent with minor paint rubs at her ball shapped joints, her stringing is very good although her heavy metal head willbe floppy if tilted backwards and does require cradling when layingher down. Her clothing is pristine. Her aluminum metal feet were replaced withhand carved wooden feet (please see photo). Her eyes, while intact and stunning,are a bit wonky and will require adjustment to achieve perfection. She will be shipped to her new home accompanied by her little green TY bear.
