Something really different here! This is a USA Trains EMD F3 G-scale Engine in Southern Pacific \"Black Widow\" colors. The gentleman who owned this had it converted to Lionel Train Master Command Control usingelectronics from Train America Studios (TAS) - there is a command module and a RailSounds board. What this means is that this engine operates on AC current, and has sound - when it is fully operational. It also has problems from being shipped across the country and sitting for a couple of years. As it sits, it will run (forward only) and the RailSounds seem to work - dynamic chuff sound and bell and horn. The directional control works intermittently. There are wires that appear to be loose. It may be as simple as reconnecting them, but we have no idea - that\'s why we are selling it! We do not have anyoriginal DC electronicsthat were removed from the engine (assuming there were some), nor, unfortunately, do we have the TAS installation/operation instructions (TAS is now out of business). When the engine was fully functional, he could control it from his Lionel remote, and actually ran G-scale, O-gauge, and S-gauge trains simultaneously from his TMCC remote. If you are familiar with TAS electronics, or just a talented tinkerer, this may be a great bargain for you. The engine mostly just sat on display; probably has less than ten hours of run time.
