Offered for the first time on the interwebs, both rare and historically significant, found in a wall of an18thcentury rowhouse in Olde City Philadelphiaright by Dock Street ontheDelaware River. Our Declaration of Independence was written near this area at the Tun Tavern on Dock Street.
Thisis an unbelievably pristine clean example, an \'as found\' beauty thatsnever been pro-cleaned; deepest dark teal leaning towards blue-green superior early squat with push-up base that just missed the pontil rod dating it to late 1860s!
It is boldly embossed in a tubular block lettering, \'W. DUBOIS, PHILADA\', with tiny underscored \'A\'.
Squat blob soda, very short neck with applied blob top has a nice prominent fat drip of slag coming down neck, all shown, pictures being part of description.
A SECOND stunning different variant also being sold in separate listing. Great rich teal color, interesting rarer bottle. Never been pro-cleaned or cleaned at all. This attic survivor is very clean original unmolsted survivor.
Photographed on a partly overcast day, which is the best option for presenting true colors without retouching. Not sure the BRILLIANCE of this awesome example has been captured.
