This lovely \"Chad Valley\" \"Ubilda\" touring car is in \"as found\" condition and has not been repaired or restored by us.

\"Chad Valley\" started to produce tin plate toys in 1945, outsourcing manufacture to Metal Box Ltd who had the machinery and skills required to make quality printed toys and money boxes. In the same year Chad Valley acquired Burnetts Ltd giving them ownership of the UBILDA trademark.

The lithographed tin does have the usual scuffs, scratches and marks that you would associate with an item of this age, there is some surface rust to the screws and nuts as well as the clockwork mechanism, the bumper and windscreen frame has also lost its\' chrome finish, but overall, the colours still strong and vivid. I have tried to show the condition in the photographs.

The car has its spare wheel and key.
The black hood is not attached and requires screws and nuts and the front axle spindle may not be original and requires a nut to one side to keep the wheel attached.

The clockwork motor still works, but is a little temperamental and doesn\'t push the car along.

The car has the \"Chad Valley\" logo and Royal Crest on the back. The back and front \"C.V. 1947\" number plates are both present.

The car measures 26 cm (10 1/4 inches) long.

This charming car will display really well and would make an excellent addition to any collection.
