I\'m listing another eclectic assortment of antiques and collectibles, and I suspect there will be something to interest just about everyone.Here\'s a beautiful, working Burns horn radio speaker manufactured in Chicago by American Electric in 1925. Condition is very good throughout. The original Burns Concert driver is good, and the speaker sounds great when the horn is hooked up to a ca. 1920\'s battery radio. The paint is original, and it exhibits only minor wear. The petals have no cracks. There\'s a neat repair along one of the dividing seams to which the petals are attached, but the fragile petals themselves are all in good shape. The nickel-plated retaining bracket is in excellent condition, with virtually no nickel wear. Likewise, the nickel plating on the driver housing is in excellent condition, with no rust or corrosion, nor even any significant tarnish. The tiny alignment screw on the top of the retaining bracket is missing, but the bell can be aligned easily without it, and the bracket still clamps the bell firmly to the horn\'s throat.Overall, a really nice, working 90 year old horn that will look beautiful in any context, even if you don\'t collect early radios. Stands 23\" high, with a bell diameter of approximately 14\". Shipping weight, properly packed, will be about 25 lb. That\'s about it. Rest assured it will arrive at your home in the samefine condition in whichit leaves mine.I have been shipping antique phonographs and radios for years, and if you check my response, you\'ll see that I know how to do it correctly.
