Quick Guide to ordering the correct belt.
1st: The OEM part number. Make sure you are ordering the correct OEM belt part number for your machine. You can find the OEM part number in the users manual or the OEM sticker onthe machine itself.

2nd: Double check your OEM part number by measuring the belt with a tape measure. Most sellers will show you the dimensions of the belt on their description, more importantly, the Outside circumference measurement.
Find a mark on the outside of your belt, or make one with a sharpie. Start your tape measure at that point, and slide the belt down the Tape measure until you come back to that exact same point. That will give you the
precise outside dimension of the belt you\'re replacing. Double check the size you\'ve calculated to what the seller shows in their description. You want to make sure you\'re within an inch of what the seller has listed.

These 2 key components will ensure that you\'re replacing the correct belt for your machine.

Below is a detailed explanation of our Quick Guide shown above, along with some FAQ\'s

How do I know I\'m ordering the right belt??
For those you who are shopping around for Replacement belts for the first time, or those of you who use for all of your belt replacement needs,
one thing is very common that you see from all of us online belt distributors. Each of us explain how important it is to double check that you\'re ordering the correct belt for your mower/tiller/snow blower etc. Nearly every
seller will have information about choosing the correct belt for your application. They willalso explainthatthe customer will have to pay the to and from freight charge when a belt is ordered incorrectly.
This is a very common problem that we see on a daily basis. Here are a few key points to help ensure you\'re ordering the correct belt for your machine.

(The OEM Part Number - Always start with the OEM part number)
You can find the OEM part number in our users manual. Most Lawn equipment made over the last few decades also have OEM stickers located on the machine itself. For Riding mowers, usually under the hood or seat.
Its highly recommended to order belts based on the OEM sticker on the machine itself. Users manuals can get a bit confusing on their Hodge Podge Explosion diagram of replacement parts. The OEM sticker on the machine will
show you all of the OEM belt part numbers and their intended use.

Note:: For the lawn equipment out there that takes 2 or more belts. This is where a vast majority of belts are ordered incorrectly.
Example: Riding mowers that take a deck belt and a drive belt. How do you know which is which??
If you\'re unsure as to which OEM belt you\'re actually replacing, just grab your tape measure. Most sellers will show you the dimensions of their belt. More importantly, the Outside circumference measurement.
Find a mark on the outside of your belt, or make one with a sharpie. Start your tape measure at that point, and slide the belt down the Tape measure until you come back to that exact point. That will give you the
precise outside dimension of the belt you\'re replacing. Double check the size you\'ve calculated to what the seller shows in their description. You want to make sure you\'re within an inch of what the seller has listed.
Or, if your old belt is of no use to you anymore, cut the belt so it\'s in 1 long piece. Measure it from end to end, and that will also give you the precise outside circumference measurement.

Measuring your Pulley System with a piece of Rope or string to find out what size belt you need.
We see a lot of customers use this method. This is completely fine to do as long as yourealize one extremely important factor. When you measure your pulley system with rope or string, you\'re actually determining the inside
circumference of the belt. The problem is all lawn and garden belts in production across the globe universally use the outside circumference when factoring their belt size. Whenthe customercalculates 80\" with a piece
of rope on his pulley system he immediately goes online and orders an 80\" belt.He will soon discover that the 80\" belt is 2\" too short because he calculated the ID (Inside dimension) instead of the OD (Outside dimension).
Remember this:
On belts that are 1/2\" top width: There is a difference of 2\" between the outside circumference measurement and the inside circumference measurement. So whenthe customermeasures 80\" on his pulley system he would add 2\" to determine the outside circumference measurement.

On belts that are 5/8\" top width: There is a difference of 3\" between the outside circumference measurement and the inside circumference measurement. So whenthe customermeasures 80\" on his pulley system he would add 3\" to determine the outside circumference measurement.

The belt you sent me is too tight, or too loose. ( We see this about 1 out of 100 belts we sell)
Many lawn machines these days have adjustment mechanisms on the pulley system. These manufacturers put them on specifically for belt replacements further down the road. They know first hand that the factory OEM belt that fits your mower the day it came off the production line, may not exactly fit ?? years later after hundreds of hours of use. This is why they implement these adjustment mechanisms on the pulleys. Lawn equipment takes a beating, and overtime the pulley system can be loosened, and knocked around. You can find information about your adjustment mechanisms in your users manual.
Lawn mower repair/service shops are also well aware of this issue. When mower repair shops are called upon to replace a belt, the first thing the lawn mower tech will do is grab the OEM belt that fits your mower. Once they install it, they will engage the belt on your machine. If the belt is too loose or too tight they will do one of 2 things. If your mower has these adjustments on the pulley system, they will adjust to allow the belt to fit. If your mower does not have adjustments on the pulley system, the Mower Tech will walk back in the stock room and grab the next closest sized belt.Thismay not actually be the factory sized belt that your machine took the year it came off the production line. It may be 1\" shorter or longer.
There is no exact science when it comes to sizing belts for older lawn equipment. Pulley systems will change over time ever so slightly. That is why it\'s important to use your pulley adjustments if they\'re available and also measure the belt you\'re replacing before ordering.

I have a 38\" Deck on my mower, Does that mean i need a 38\" belt??
NO.. Deck widths and belt dimensions do not correlate whatsoever. Sure, your deck may be 36\" or 38\" or 40\" across, but that calculation does not coincide with the outer circumference measurement of your belt.

Tracking info: The belt I ordered is not tracking, Have you shipped it yet? ( If Your package is tracking and being updated.. Disregard the message below)

Yes, we ship all items within 24 business hours of payment confirmation. A frequently common problem we have been having with USPS shipments over the last few years is the lack of scanningpackagesat each zone. Some shipments these days do not get scanned. Rather than scanning the package, the postal worker will just throw it in the next bin going to the corresponding zone. USPS does this to save time and this issue always increases during holidays. When packages aren\'t scanned, itleads the customer to believe the item was never shipped. It also increases the likelihood of a lost or delayed shipment. If the tracking info attached to your transactions details is not updating, do not worry, there is a high likelihood it\'s still moving across the country towards you. It\'s just not being scanned at each zone. We have seen USPS shipments travel from GA to CA never once being scanned until it was marked delivered.

TwoKey things you should know when your\'re ordering a replacement belt from us.
