Presented here is a very large and impressive 18" tin friction 1960 Cadillac Fleetwood 4 door hardtop. A highly desirable piece made by Yonezawa ( Yone or Y ) of Japan in the early 1960s. This is an interesting interpretation by this famous Japanese toy maker in that the toy car actually represents a 1960 Cadillac with side trim from a 1959 Fleetwood model. The stunning example shown here is clean as new and in excellent 100% original condition with all parts intact. It has a strong friction motor as well. The attractive midnight black paint with cream colored side spears has that incredible wet look luster. The car shows very little wear. There are no dents or dings and just a few minor scuffs and scrapes mar the otherwise pristine finishand. Chrome plated trim is all bright with just a couple small spots of typical age tarnish visible in spots. Blue tinted plastic window "glass" is crystal clear with no cracks, breaks or hazing. Both windows are still held firmly in place with no shrinking or warping. Detailed yellow tinted plastic headlight lenses add a nice bit of realism. Fragile narrow red plastic rear fin lenses are both still intact. Colorful & highly detailed interior is a delight to see with separate tabbed polished radio speakers mounted on rear package tray and a large plastic steering wheel. Satin black base shows no wear. These cars are so large, the base had to be held on by screws as well as tin tabs. All of the original tabs and screws are still intact. The car does not appear to have ever been opened up or molested in any way. Tri tone hubcaps and whitewalls look very authentic and all are in pristine shape. Rubber tires with great tread design are flawless with no cracks or flat spots. The friction motor runs like new; long, strong and smooth with that great whine that all of us friction motor lovers covet. This really is just an incredible toy, rarely found in such clean and complete original condition. The car would be an excellent investment grade tinplate toy. Delivery confirmation is included on every domestic shipment to insure the package arrives at it's destination. For international shipments both priority and first class postage are available. Shipping charges are fixed as is shipping method. A slight handling charge is built in to cover shipping room costs and help. I do not skimp on packing. I am a collector as well as a dealer, and many times have been chagrined to open a box and find a rare vintage toy broken en route. Not due to postal misuse, but by poor and insensitive wrapping. You will not receive toys packed like this from me. All my items are thoughtfully and carefully packed as though I would be mailing them to myself. Prices are set by size and weight. USPS Priority Mail dimensional weight rates will now apply for certain large packages shipped to select zones within the U.S. Priority Mail can be very expensive with an oversize package, as many of my toys require, therefore for those larger items I use Parcel Post which is just as safe and almost as fast.
