\"EdmundMcIntire has been a bit of a mystery man. The E. McIntirebottles have been purported to be from New York, Philadelphia, and NewOrleans. To date no there has been no conclusive evidence as to themanufacturer that filled these bottles with mineral water, but that is about tochange. It all starts with this directory listing in the 1844 Boston Directory:I do nothave any evidence that McIntire was in New Orleans, but he may have moved therebriefly, shipped his wares there, or sold his bottles to a soda watermanufacturer there. It has been reported that some of his bottles havebeen found in New Orleans, but it is very interesting that the squared collaron his newer soda bottles, which has a top that is unique on soda shapedbottles\"
