Up for sale is a beautiful cast ironFE Myers wood beam hay trolley or unloader in excellent condition. It has a patent date of 1884. Wood beam trolleys traveled back and forth in the peak of the barn on a wood beam instead of a steel track and were first manufactured in the late 1800\'s before the steel track versions. No special track is needed to display this trolley, it can be suspended from a 2x4 or 4x4. This trolley is complete with the correct fork pulley. There is nothing chipped,cracked or broken and is in working condition. One of the original trolley wheels was at some point replaced with a different trolley wheel and is the one on the left in pic 7. There are no other issues. It has been completely disassembled, cleaned and sealed to protect and preserve the look. The finished product is gorgeous. It will display beautifully in your home or place of business. It is 16 1/2\" long x 20\" tall ( with the fork pulley )x 6\" wide.Both sheaves and all 4 trolley wheelsturn freely and work asthey should. The locking mechanism for the fork pulley ( drop pulley ) works perfectly as well as the fork pulley itself. Hay trolleysare a great representation of early life on the farm and are very collectable.
