The US Navy Mark V diving rig is an icon of deep sea diving. Built from 1917-1984, this early 20th century diving technology enabled divers to work at significant depths for the first time and was used extensively during WWII. Today\'s collectors refer to the Mark V as the cornerstone of any collection. It was manufactured by four companies - Desco, Morse, Schrader and Miller Dunn.
This MkV Diver Statue is an accurate representation of this iconic rig. It is made from Cold-Cast Bronze (mixture of Resin and Bronze -this is not solid bronze) and is Copper plated with antique patina. It is highly detailed as reflected by the images provided. The Copper plating is quite stunning - with highlights of polished brass/bronze. I have tried my best to capture color accurately. This statue is very similar to the MkV Monument statue at the Naval Diving & Salvage Training Center in Panama City Beach, Florida.
The statue will be packaged in a preformed Styrofoam casing for maximum protection during shipment.
