Vintage JBL L200 STUDIO MASTER LOUDSPEAKER SYSTEM W/ CONSECUTIVE SERIAL NUMBERS:

This sale is for a pair of vintage JBL L200 STUDIO MASTERLOUDSPEAKER SYSTEM with consecutive serial numbers (11258 and 11259). Thesecame from its original owner and have never been refinished. Everything isoriginal except for the grill cover and cloth which was replaced several yearsago. The cloth is the original JBL blue color which in my opinion makes them lookbetter. He also re-glued the decal on the attenuator. The oiled walnut cabinetsare in beautiful original condition but are not cosmetically perfect. There arelight scratches on the finish with the worst one located on top of speaker11259. Please take a look at the pictures. This pair is 100% functional withoriginal JBL drivers, crossover, and lenses. All electronics and drivers are inMINT condition on these particular speakers. This sale includes the originalowner’s manual, JBL envelopes still stapled on both speakers, sales tag (whichfell off the back of one of the speakers), warranty card, and a JBL card (Pub.CA10-4) dated February 1969. This card describes how to maintain the finish onyour JBL speakers.

These speakers are very dynamic, exhibits great presence witha heart-pounding bass. The L200 StudioMaster Loudspeaker System is composed of a 15 inch Low Frequency Loudspeaker,Horn-Loaded High Frequency Compression Driver, Acoustic Lens, and a FrequencyDividing Network. These speakers were built to last a lifetime and weighs 139pounds. The 15-inch driver alone weighs 20 pounds. The voice coils, made ofcopper, were milled to a flat ribbon by hand and utilizes powerful Alnico Vmagnets. The high frequency horn, made of solid cast aluminum alloy, also usesAlnico V magnets. The horn lens disperses sounds evenly over a 120 degreehorizontal arc. There is also a 5-position control switch located on the frontof each speaker allowing the listener to adjust the sound according to roomacoustics and personal preference. These speakers are also very efficient andcan be driven by an amplifier with 10 watts RMS per channel. The following pictures illustrate thecondition of the cabinets and drivers. Thanks.
