Extremely rare vintage Lincoln Engineering mechanic\'s workstation or as they called it \"service merchandiser\". This came from a Ford dealership in Mankato, Kansas. This would have gone in one of the service bays at the dealership. I have been collecting gas station and car dealership stuff for years and in my opinion, these are the coolest things you can have in your collection. Why buy another sign or gas pump when you can have one of these!:) Not only is it a really neat looking piece, but it is exremely functional. Lots of storage in the cabinets, a handy workbench, lockable \"lift up\" door in the center, overhead worklight, pegboard, shelves in one cabinet, the other cabinet just has the pegboard wich i have added shelves to (no drilling or cutting), electrical outlets, they often had a hose reel uder the workbench that you could hook up to compressed air or for oil/grease lube gun, everything you could need to work on a project right there in one handy location. NONE of the tools in the LH cabinet are included!!! ALL of the doors are very straight. It\'s difficult to find one that the doors are good on. All of the doors function well, and all of the sheetmetal is in excellent condition as far as one of these go. Keep in mind this is a 50+ year old piece of equipment from a mechanic shop -it\'s gonna have some dings and scratches, etc.! The stainless strip across the top is in excellent condition except for a couple of dings and they are easily fixable. The workbench top has had a bench vise mounted to it (i\'ve never seen one that didn\'t) and therefore has had holes drilled in it. The \"main\" or \"upper\" portion has what i believe to be original paint, the workbench portion has been primered -obviously many, many years ago. it looks like they simply brushed on some primer -there\'s no bondo or anything like that. These things are VERY hard to find, especially in this condition. Check my other sales, I will be listing an alemite workstation as well!!
There is NO RUST ANYWHERE! there may be some minor surface rust down low, or here or there, but there is no rust through -not even close!
I\'m listing this item for local pickup, and that\'s what i\'d prefer. But i will work with someone on shipping if they contact me in advance. Use common sense, this thing is 9+ feet long 5+ feet tall -it\'s gonna cost some money to ship it a long distance. The workbench section slides out easily, and the rest can be disassembled, but it\'s a bit of work. If you have to ask how much it\'s gonna cost, you probably don\'t need to be buying it. I enjoy a good road trip -especially if it will coincide with an sale, swap meet, or some other event that i can partake in while i\'m there, so i will consider delivering within a reasonable distance -say 250 miles or so- for little more than gas money but the buyer must contact me and make arrangements in advance, and i must be paid in full (including gas) before i\'ll load it up. I\'m not gonna get suckered into a wild goose chase!!

I just got a tip! A guy just told me that he sold one of these and though uship.com was able to ship via an LTL from Nashville TN to Houston TX for a mere $120! Something to look into...

the workbench section of this is easily removed. it will simply slide out. the rest could be disassembled for shipping. it is not very difficult to disassemble just some screws and nuts and bolts, but it\'s not a 10 minute job either!

i\'ll work with you on shipping, but you are going to have to make arrangements. if your shiipper requires that it be crated, it\'s gonna get expensive. i\'m willing to crate it, but you will have to pay for all the materials and for my time to do so. i think the best way to do it would be to use an independent LTL shipper. i sold two of these to a guy in california a while back. he sent a guy down from denver. he was already hauling a motorcycle that direction in a large enclosed trailer. we loaded the workstations in the trailer and then put the bike back in the trailer and away he went. no crating whatsoever. i don\'t know what his charge was, but thats the way i\'d do it. building a crate is gonna take many hours and who knows how many dollars worth of lumber!
