SAW movie hero prop Blueprints / Rare Memorabilia F/X:
$100.00

This is a beautiful, limited edition, poster of the original blueprints. I was in charge of the Mechanical Special Effects for the movie \" SAW \". After meeting with the director [ James Wan ] and writer [ Leigh Whannell ] and seeing their original concept for \" Jigsaw\'s Reverse Beartrap \", I redesigned a more terrifying yet practical torture head trap for the actress. This device was so radical yet photogenic, they used it on the movie poster to promote \" SAW \". I only built one hero prop and thats the rusty colored one you seen in the movies on Shawnee\'s head. The metal colored one is recently built from my blueprints. They are the ones in these photos. THERE IS NO OTHER REAL ONE. Mine still has the actress\' hair stuck in it. I OWN IT! Its NEVER been on display in public, so sorry if you were lied to by rip off artists. THE MASK\" REVERSE BEARTRAP \" IS NOT FOR SALE - YET --.. BUT I\'m selling these limited addition, hand signed and numbered full scale copies of the ONLY blueprints. They are ready to be framed and displayed or used to help you build your own copy of my prop.I recieved dozens of questions about where I found the parts to build The Reverse Beartrap. Well, the aluminum stock that we built the frame out of was from Home Depot as was the nuts, bolts, springs, plumbing fittings, lock, hasp & hose. I think any large harware store would have these items. We chose aluminum for the frame to keep it lightweight. I would have preferred steel becase its easeir to age and weld together, but the actress would have had a harder time acting with all that weight on her head. The gears, cables, and the brake mechanism was found in a bycicle supply store. The original small nuematic ram and aluminum clamps were found at a swap meet, but I found more at a science supply store for the second SILVER looking one in the pictures. All other dressing just was stuff I found & glued on for looks. It was then aged with watered down latex paints and the black faced stopwatch was held on by being placed into a plastic box I found. We cut a whole in the box to show the clock face. We needed to protect the stopwatch from being damaged by the violant action. So many SAW fans and horror prop collectors have asked in the past few years if I would build another one for their collection, so we got out the blueprints and did. Gathering up the parts for #2 [ the silver one ] took the most time [ 2 days ]. We liked the way it looked without the paint job so much, we decided to keep it. When collectors saw the blueprints they asked if I would sell them too. It just didn\'t seem right to let one person with big bucks get my originals or print hundreds of thousands on cheap paper and sell them in every store that sells posters, so we came up with this. ****THERE WERE ONLY 244 AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME...THIS IS A FIRST EDITION****
