This is a rare C&S Railway railroad lantern for sale.The lantern has some ware fromage and use, other thenthat it is in great condition. The wick feeder does turn freely.The globe isembossed \"C&S RY\". This is a bellbottom model that was made by Adams and Westlake. The top is stamped The Adams and West Lake Company Chicago New YorkPatentMay 28, 1895. The lid is also stamped \"C&S RY\" and the number 4164 on the hinge. Colorado Southern railway was an American Class 1 railroad thatranbetween 1898- 1908 before becoming part of the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy Railroad, anduntilBurlington Northern Railroad absorbed them in 1981. This rare C&S RY bellbottom lantern would make a great addition to any railroad collection.
