Up for sale is a rare cast iron Jacob Ney hay trolley in very good condition. This is a rod car and traveled on an iron rod instead of a conventional track. It has a patent date of 1879. Everything functions on this trolley and it is in working condition. The Ney drop pulley has a patent date of 1879 as well and locks into the trolley as it should. The wood sheave for the drop pulley has some normal age cracks and turns freely. The wood sheave for the trolley has a chip shown in pic 10. There are no other issues, breaks or repairs. The trolley comes with the original trip, also hard to find. It stands 9 1/2\" tall without the drop pulley in place and is 19 1/2\" long x 4\" wide at the widest point. This trolley has been cleaned of any loose rust and barn stuff then given a coat of sealer to preserve the look. It looks age appropriate but clean. Don\'t miss out on owning a very hard to find trolley. Out of the hundreds of trolleys I\'ve bought over the years this is the first Jacob Ney that I\'ve been able to offer on .
